Ask The Doctor

Your Source For Free Medical Advice

About us

Askthedoctor.com was the idea of two Canadian entrepreneurs – Prakash Chand and Dr. Suneel Sharman.  Both are from Winnipeg, Canada but the idea was envisioned in Dec 2006 while at a café on the Toronto harbor. As the project grew, it expanded to the US and became Askthedoctor.com in January 2010 and is now the most trusted and popular source of personalized medical information in the world.

Prakash Chand is the CEO of Chand Investment Group based out of Toronto, Ontario.  It was started after he retired from his professional badminton career representing Canada.  He has extensive knowledge in web development and advertising and his goal is to make Askthedoctor.com the world's largest easy to use medical information website for the general public.

Dr Suneel Sharman completed his residency in Family Medicine at the University of Toronto.  In addition to his busy clinical practice, he has done extra training in sports medicine and cosmetic medicine.  He is also an adjunct professor at the university of Toronto where he teaches second year medical students.  His goal is to make complex medical knowledge freely available to the world.
